People may also remove some or all of their pubic hair for aesthetic or sexual reasons. Adult film stars are well known for this practice. Men may also practice this, but not as commonly. In a sexual context, pubic hair removal is done to increase visual exposure of the genitalia and/or facilitate access to the genital area by removing the barrier of hair.

In short, waxing is the way to go in terms of genital hair removal. BTW, there is no significant difference between a mans razor, and a woman’s razor. And if you are going to shave there, take the time to learn how to do it the right way! It is not a matter of simply putting shave cream on the area and just shaving away! And shave cream is not the best thing to use. There ar pre and post shaving processes which must be done if you are going to avoid razor burn and ingrown hairs.

Trim your Pubic Hair: To make this process easier, trim the genital area before applying the razor! You’ll save blades this way. Electric razors, clippers (with safety guards) or scissors work well. To get a closer cut and avoid unwanted nicks, pull the hair up then trim away. Hygienic Maintenance: Wash your shaven genitals on a daily basis. This helps remove unwanted oils and sweat. Moisturize and powder the area daily to avoid irritation. If you keep the hair short, you’ll avoid stubbles, which causes itching. Try to wear cotton underwear and to stay away from tight fitting cloths pants. The lack of air circulation and friction of tight cloths may lead to in-grown hairs.

Genital hair removal is a fastly process, and one that a person can do on his or her own, if desired. The most glaring problem with this is that, unless you are completely uninhibited, it may be slightly embarrassing to say the least, to literally open it up for the waxer to see. Many waxing products are accessible but be sure you read the label before purchasing. Sugaring is a system that is similar to waxing.

Yet, still others prefer to remove the hair completely so that the genital area is as smooth as the day they were born. Some of the women who choose to trim their pubic hair only do so on occasion or seasonally, like when they’re wearing a bathing suit. Others prefer to have a neat “bikini line” all year round. Of course, depilatories should never be used in the genital or any other sensitive area.

Avoid showering and making the hair wet prior to waxing. Hair absorbs the water making it soft and less likely to adhere well to the wax. Tough hair is easier to pull off. Before genital hair removal with waxing, be sure to test a small area of skin first to make sure there is no acute sensitivity or allergic reaction to the process.Hair should be at least 1/8 inch long. If it isn’t wait until it reaches this length.Be sure to wash the skin thoroughly and dry it well beforehand to remove any lotions or oils which may prevent the wax from adhering closely to the skin.Heat
